AT&T LTE Available in Six New Markets

AT&T has turned on its LTE service in Buffalo, N.Y.; Burlington, N.C.; Corpus Christi, Texas; Gainesville, G.A.; Greensboro-Winston Salem, N.C., and Wichita, Kan., bringing customers the latest generation of wireless network technology. AT&T expects its LTE deployment to be largely complete by year-end 2013.

AT&T has turned on its LTE service in Buffalo, N.Y.; Burlington, N.C.; Corpus Christi, Texas; Gainesville, G.A.; Greensboro-Winston Salem, N.C., and Wichita, Kan., bringing customers the latest generation of wireless network technology. AT&T expects its LTE deployment to be largely complete by year-end 2013.

According to operator, AT&T 4G LTE is now available in 47 markets and 74 million Americans have access to its LTE network. 86 percent of AT&T’s mobile data traffic now runs over enhanced backhaul that supports both HSPA+ and 4G LTE data traffic.

AT&T currently offers several LTE-compatible devices, such as the HTC One™ X, Samsung Focus® 2, Nokia Lumia 900, Samsung Galaxy Note™, and Pantech Element™ tablet.
