China Mobile & Huawei have completed the testing of China’s first TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE network in Wuxi, Jiangsu province reports China Business News, citing Biao Wan, President of Huawei Wireless Product Line.(see capitalvue article)

China Mobile has already planned to test its TD-LTE networks in three coastal cities first, namely Qingdao, Xiamen, and Zhuhai, in the second half of 2010.

According to the report, the number of China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA users increased by an average of 1.2 million per month in the first five months of 2010.

By the end of last year, China Mobile had a total of 522 million mobile phone subscribers, with more than 550,000 base stations. Its TD-SCDMA 3G network has covered 238 cities. And the number of its TD-SCDMA users has topped 3.41 million.
