MTS Picks Nokia Siemens Networks for FDD LTE Deployment

Russia’s mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has selected Nokia Siemens Networks for deploying FDD LTE network in the Moscow and Central Russia regions during the third quarter of 2013. The operator utilizes its 2600 MHz and 800 MHz frequency bands for increased capacity.

Nokia Siemens Networks Achieve 56 Mbps Peak Upload Throughput in TD-LTE

Max Telecom Selects Nokia Siemens Networks as Main Supplier for LTE Equipment

Bulgarian telecom operator Max Telecom has picked Nokia Siemens Networks as the main vendor to provide equipment for its LTE network. Operator plans to launch LTE mobile internet services in Q4 2013.

A1 Telekom Austria, Nokia Siemens Networks Demonstrate Carrier Aggregation in Vienna

Nokia Siemens Networks and A1 Telekom Austria has demonstrated carrier aggregation, a LTE-Advanced technology, in Vienna.  The live demo included handling large file transfers with a simultaneous video stream and showcased download speeds of 580Mbps.

Nokia Siemens Networks Opens Global Delivery Center in China

Nokia Siemens Networks has opened a Global Delivery Center (GDC) hub in Zhengzhou, province of Henan. According to company, the new facility will provide tools, processes and skilled resources to remotely manage mobile broadband networks for operators in China and around the world.

Polkomtel Selects Nokia Siemens Networks for Voice Services with LTE

Orange and E-Plus select Nokia Siemens Networks for LTE Rollout

Germany’s E-Plus Group and  Orange Communications in Switzerland  have selected Nokia Siemens Networks for LTE network deployments. In addition to LTE rollout in 1800 MHz band, the company will also modernize and expand the E-Plus GSM and HSPA+ networks.

Movistar Picks Nokia Siemens Networks for LTE and 3G Expansion in Chile

Movistar Chile has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to implement its LTE network in 2.6 GHz frequency band. According to company, the contract covers the capital area, Greater Santiago, with close to six million inhabitants, as well as other cities such as Valparaíso and Viña del Mar.

DOCOMO PACIFIC has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to supply an end-to-end 4G LTE network in U.S. territory of Guam. The LTE deployment is an extension of Nokia Siemens Networks’ existing relationship with DOCOMO PACIFIC.
