U.S. operator Sprint announced expansion of its 4G LTE network in 22 new cities including Miami, New Orleans, Raleigh, N.C., and Tampa, Fla. Sprint’s LTE network is now serving 110 markets nationwide and expects to provide 200 million people with LTE by the end of 2013.
Vodafone Australia Launches LTE Network
Vodafone Australia has switched on 4G LTE network in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Newcastle and Wollongong as announced earlier. Vodafone holds 2 X 20MHz contiguous spectrum and has demonstrated trial speeds up to 100Mbps earlier.

Nokia Siemens Networks and A1 Telekom Austria has demonstrated carrier aggregation, a LTE-Advanced technology, in Vienna. The live demo included handling large file transfers with a simultaneous video stream and showcased download speeds of 580Mbps.
Regional Telecom, Alcatel-Lucent Launch LTE Network in Iraq
Regional Telecom, a communications service provider in Northern Iraq, and Alcatel-Lucent have launched 4G LTE network Iraq under the Fastlink brand. Alcatel-Lucent is providing its end-to-end 4G LTE solution, including base stations, IP mobile backhaul for 4G LTE and existing 3G CDMA traffic and Evolved Packet Core (EPC).
