Huawei announced the successful implementation of the GSM-LTE Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (GL DSS) trial with Vodafone Spain today. GL DSS is able to improve LTE capacity by up to 50% through maximizing wireless spectrum utilization, reports Huawei.

4G Americas: Launches of Release 12 LTE-Advanced Could Hit 40 by 2014 End
There are 300 commercial LTE networks now in 107 countries and 350 commercial LTE networks are anticipated by the end of 2014, reports 4G Americas. Nokia and SK Telecom Demonstrate 3.78 Gbps Using TDD-FDD Carrier Aggregation
Nokia and SK Telecom have reached a throughput speed of 3.78 Gbps by aggregating 10 spectrum frequencies allocated for both LTE variants for a 200 MHz of bandwidth. Earlier Nokia has demonstrated 2.6 Gbps TD-LTE throughput in February 2014 with US operator Sprint.

LG Uplus and Huawei Complete Commercial Trial of 3 Different Band Carrier Aggregation
Huawei and South Korea’s mobile operator LG Uplus have jointly completed a commercial network field trail of 3 different band Carrier Aggregation (3CC CA). LG Uplus currently has 7.5 million LTE subscribers across three commercial LTE network bandwidths of 800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz.
LTE Hits 30% Share of Cellular Market in North America
4G Americas reports that LTE connections in North America grew to 115 million subscriptions, representing 30 percent of the 387 million total mobile subscriptions in the region at the end of the first quarter of 2014.
