U.S. carrier Verizon Wireless has opened LTE network in 29 new markets, including Selma, Ala., Clarksburg, W. Va., and Port Angeles, Wash., bringing the total of U.S. markets covered to 470.

Verizon Wireless 4G LTE is also expanding in 36 existing markets. Having just completed two years of LTE launch, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is now available to more than 250 million people.
Operator plans to keep aggressively expanding and enhancing its 4G LTE network across the country in coming year as well. Verizon expects to complete 4G LTE expansion across the country by the middle of next year, nearly six months earlier than initially planned.
