TeliaSonera’s subsidiary, the mobile operator EMT in Estonia, plans to extend LTE coverage to 70 percent of the country’s population.
TeliaSonera’s subsidiary, the mobile operator EMT in Estonia, plans to extend LTE coverage to 70 percent of the country’s population. EMT had launched LTE services in Estonia on 16th December 2010. EMT has built 106 LTE cellular base station and cover almost 30% coverage of the population.
In 2012, EMT aims to add 200 4G LTE base stations in different regions of Estonia, covering both 4G coverage of 70% of the population. Further, EMT plans to provide to 4G coverage to whole country by the end of 2014.
In addition to the expansion of coverage in 2012, operator will offer new affordable packages for data modems/routers and first 4G Tablet PC & phone.
