ZTE and UAE-based operator Etisalat have completed LTE Trials. The project was conducted in the Etisalat headquarters in Abu Dhabi’s according to c114.net. Etisalat’s LTE test include indoor tests and field trials.
Etisalat has been conducting LTE trials, designed to increase the capacity and speed of mobile networks. Through LTE, Etisalat aims to provide downlink speed of 140Mbps and 50Mbps uplink speed.
ZTE is the first to get the Etisalat’s LTE/SAE test certificate.
To date, ZTE claims to have deployed five commercial LTE networks and built 40 LTE trial networks for leading telecom operators in Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and MEA.
