October 20, 2009 | Moderated by TMC’s Paula Bernier, panel explores voice over LTE value proposition
GENBAND Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP infrastructure solutions, today announced that Dr. Natasha Tamaskar, GENBAND’s vice president of product marketing, will participate in the panel discussion Delivering Voice over LTE, for The Alliance for Telecommunication Industry Solutions (ATIS) Technology Conference at SUPERCOMM 2009. Moderated by Paula Bernier, Executive Editor at TMC, the panel will explore voice over LTE’s value proposition and how next-generation networks will accommodate increasing voice-traffic levels.
Joining GENBAND in the panel will be Steve Shaw of Kineto Wireless, a member of the VoLGA Forum (Voice over LTE via Generic Access). The panel will take place Thursday, Oct. 22 from 1:00 – 1:40 pm in McCormick Place room W-181A.
“Service providers require a cost effective and seamless approach to bringing voice to LTE deployments without losing any current features,†said Dr. Tamaskar. “We look forward to discussing this most compelling 4G technology and examining how network operators can leverage their existing investments in wireless voice infrastructure and affordably migrate to LTE.â€
Now in its fourth year, the ATIS Technology Conference is a premier conference program featuring senior-level technology executives from leading communications companies, co-located with SUPERCOMM 2009 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, October 21 – 22, 2009. During the two-day conference, senior industry executives will explore IPTV’s potentially disruptive and complementary components, feature an in-depth examination of LTE’s business case and technical considerations, and explore how Service Oriented Networks will reshape today’s communications systems.
ATIS’ LTE track will examine the technology’s inherent opportunities, and what this paradigm-shift in capacity means to the larger communications ecosystem. Featuring both business and standards-focused sessions, programming will provide value to both commercial and technically-minded attendees.
