South Korean operator LG U+ has introduced voice over LTE (VoLTE) services to its customers in partnership with Ericsson’s subsidiary LG-Ericsson. With commercial VoLTE (GSMA IR.92) services, the operator can also offer enhanced telecom grade services such as HD voice, video calling, chat and presence.

Telekom Austria Selects Ericsson for Radio Network Upgrade and LTE
Telekom Austria Group has picked Ericsson for its multi-standard radio network upgarde and to supply LTE infrastructure. Ericsson will upgrade the 2G and 3G mobile networks and also provide the LTE technology for Telekom Austria Group’s subsidiaries A1 in Austria and Vipnet in Croatia. Rollout has already started.

Poland’s operators Polkomtel and Aero2 have selected Ericsson to supply WCDMA and LTE infrastructure for their network. Omantel Launches Commercial LTE Network
Integrated telecom services provider, Omantel has announced the commercial launch of its 4G LTE network in the Sultanate of Oman. The LTE network launch comes after a series of trials which successfully delivered speeds of up to 100 Mbps. Company has awarded its LTE network contracts to Huawei and Ericsson end of last May.
