TeliaSonera LTE deployment plan grows to 228 locations

TeliaSonera Sweden (Telia) has launched commercial LTE services in Malmo, the fourth city to receive 4G coverage in Sweden.  There are now 228 locations in the Telia’s deployment plan.

TeliaSonera Sweden (Telia) has launched commercial LTE services in Malmo, the fourth city to receive 4G coverage in Sweden.  There are now 228 locations in the Telia’s deployment plan.

In Visby, the network was opened at the end of June 2010 and last month TeliaSonera  opened network in Gothenburg. By the end of 2010, TeliaSonera  has planned total 25 locations around Sweden. In 2011, 4G network will be available at over 200 locations by the end of the year.

In December 2009 TeliaSonera became the first in the world to launch the LTE and are now building out 4G network in a fast pace.
