Japanese operator NTT Docomo will lease access to its new high-speed mobile LTE network to companies when it begins operation in December, Nikkei reported.

According to report, decision will increase subscriber take-up more rapidly as well as providing an additional revenue stream to offset capital investment costs.

NTT DOCOMO is verifying its new commercial mobile network system based on the LTE in the Tokyo area, prior to the full-scale launch of extra-high-speed LTE commercial service in December.

NTT DoCoMo also plans to launch commercial LTE femtocells between 2011 and 2012 alongside its LTE network deployment to ensure coverage and capacity performance.
