Alcatel-Lucent introduces new product to extend the ultra-broadband reach of cable operators

Reliance Jio seeks Wi-Fi deals with state, local authorities

Indian Telecom Company Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) plans to enter into agreements with various state and local authorities to offer Wi-Fi services. RJIL has to launch services within five years of acquiring spectrum, as per the government rules.

EE Launches WiFi Calling in UK

U.K. operator EE has launched WiFi Calling to make calls and texts available in every WiFi-connected home and small office in the UK. WiFi Calling from EE will be available from launch on the Lumia 640 and from Friday 10 April on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
