Telekom Austria Group has picked Ericsson for its multi-standard radio network upgarde and to supply LTE infrastructure. Ericsson will upgrade the 2G and 3G mobile networks and also provide the LTE technology for Telekom Austria Group’s subsidiaries A1 in Austria and Vipnet in Croatia. Rollout has already started.

A1 Telekom Austria Launches LTE in Austria
A1 Telekom Austria’s LTE network is operational now in the capital Vienna, Austria. Earlier in June this year Telekom Austria had conducted a live LTE demonstration on the A1 network.
