Nokia and StarHub Conduct 5G Non-Standalone Network Trial in Singapore

Nokia and Singapore-based operator StarHub are conducting live 5G non-standalone (NSA) network trial across Singapore, running until 16 February 2021. By leveraging existing 4G infrastructure, the trial 5G network will allow StarHub to provide higher data bandwidth and reliable connectivity to its subscribers without a major infrastructure overhaul.

Vodafone Launches 5G Service in New Zealand

Vodafone New Zealand has rolled out 5G service in parts of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown in 3.5GHz spectrum. To access 5G, Kiwis need a 5G device from Vodafone New Zealand or selected New Zealand retailers, a Vodafone 5G Ready plan and be in a 5G coverage area. 

Nokia and StarHub Demonstrate 3GPP Compliant 5G New Radio Pilot in Singapore

Nokia and Singapore’s StarHub have completed the outdoor pilot of 5G New Radio on 3.5GHz frequency band in Singapore. The companies demonstrated industrial and consumer applications to staff, industry partners and enterprise customers over ‘live’ Nokia 5G cells and core network technology at StarHub’s headquarters in Singapore.
