Samsung and KDDI Demonstrate 5G End-to-End Network Slicing in Tokyo

Samsung and KDDI have announced the successful completion a 5G end-to-end (E2E) network slicing demonstration with a RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) in Tokyo, Japan.

Nokia Now Offering End-to-End 4G and 5G New Radio Slicing

Nokia has launched new end-to-end slicing network functionality for 4G and 5G New Radio (NR). The solution will support connectivity from 4G and 5G devices over the sliced network to applications running in private and public clouds and will be available this summer.

5G Tests, Trials Gain Momentum Across Globe

5G has gathered momentum globally as per latest GSA report. 201 operators, in 83 countries are currently investing in 5G mobile and 5G FWA networks, ~30% increase since mid-2018. Level of commitments include tests, trials, planned and pilot deployments, and launches.
