SK Telecom has announced two-way handover that supports both FDD LTE and TDD LTE in one device. Operator, together with Ericsson and Altair Semiconductor, demonstrated handover in between two different duplex modes of the LTE technology standard in a moving vehicle environment.

Nokia Siemens Networks Demos 1.6Gbps TD-LTE Speed
Nokia Siemens Networks has announced that it achieved a record TD-LTE throughput speeds of 1.6 Gigabits per second (Gbps). In the demonstration, the company used its commercial Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station to receive and send data in simultaneous downlink and uplink connections, reaching an overall speed of 1.6 Gbps.

Vodafone Launches DC-HSPA+, to Start LTE Roll Out in 2013
Vodafone Australia plans to commence 4G LTE roll out in early 2013. Operator has also announced the launch of Dual Carrier HSPA+ services in key parts of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Adelaide and Newcastle.
GSA: 96 Commercial LTE Networks in 46 countries
GSA has confirmed that 96 operators have launched commercial LTE services in 46 countries so far. According to GSA, 347 telecoms operators in 104 countries are committed to commercial LTE network deployments or are engaged in trials, technology testing or studies. 68 operators have launched commercial LTE services in the past 12 months.

StarHub to Launch LTE Network and New price Plans on 19 September 2012
