Telefónica Germany Picks Ericsson for Voice over LTE

Telefónica Germany has selected Ericsson as main supplier to upgrade their network to support VoLTE. VoLTE has been deployed in all areas where Telefónica has LTE coverage in Germany. The commercial launch will take place once Telefónica has secured the full VoLTE device eco-system for mass-market launch.

Nokia Networks Implements VoLTE Solution in du’s Commercial Network

Nokia Networks has announced that company designed, tested and integrated VoLTE call in to du’s multi-vendor LTE network in 80 days.  The telecommunications service provider du successfully achieved Voice over LTE (VoLTE) functionality in its live network recently using Nokia’s VoLTE solution and Professional Services.

Signals Research: Commercially Deployed VoLTE Service Better than 3G and Internet Calling Services

Alcatel-Lucent has announced the results of an independent research study which found that its commercially deployed Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) technology provides better service than 3G Circuit Switched (CS) voice and Internet calling services and Skype software.

MTS, Nokia Test VoLTE Voice and Video Call

Russia’s telecommunications operator MTS has completed the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) call on a telco cloud infrastructure using Nokia’s technology. The end-to-end testing was successfully conducted in the operator’s live LTE network with  user devices.

SoftBank Mobile Selects Ericsson’s Voice over LTE Solution

Japan’s SoftBank Mobile has selected Ericsson to provide and integrate its end-to-end network solution for voice over LTE (VoLTE). With VoLTE as a basis, consumers will get HD voice and video calling alongside other telephony services, while using simultaneous LTE data services on LTE smartphones.
