Ericsson Gets MBNL RAN Managed Services Contract
Ericsson has announced that it has been selected to manage operations and maintenance of the MBNL radio access network encompassing the Three UK and EE networks. Mobile Broadband Network Limited (MBNL) is the joint venture company owned by Three UK and EE.

UK operator EE has turned on LTE network in 12 additional towns across the country. With this launch, EE’s 4G LTE services are now available in 74 towns and cities across the UK.

EE Doubling LTE Network Speed, Targets 1M LTE Subscribers by 2013 End
UK’s communications service provider EE is doubling the speed and capacity of its 4G LTE network. According to company, this step enables lab speeds of 130Mbps and will boost peak 4G speeds to 80Mbps plus while doubling current average speeds to 20Mbps.

UK operator EE has launched LTE network in 13 new towns and cities across the country, bringing the total number of towns and cities with 4G LTE coverage to 50, just five months after the launch of the service.

EE Launches Commercial LTE Service in UK
UK’s communications company, EE has launched commercial LTE services in 11 cities. EE runs the Orange and T-Mobile brands in the UK. In its first phase, the 4G service is going live in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Sheffield and Southampton.
