Bouygues Demonstrates Tri-Band LTE-Advanced with Carrier Aggregation

French operator Bouygues Telecom, Qualcomm, and Ericsson have conducted  LTE-Advanced test with the aggregation of three carriers in January. Operator used three frequency bands 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz for the demonstration.

Bouygues Telecom to Offer LTE-Advanced Services in France

French telecom operator Bouygues Telecom has announced commercial launch of LTE-Advanced network in Lyon, Bordeaux, Grenoble, Vanves, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Malakoff and Rosny-sous-Bois. Additionally, Operator plans to roll out LTE-Advanced in France’s 16 biggest towns and cities from this September.

Bouygues Telecom Selects Voice over LTE from Ericsson for its 4G Network in France

French mobile service provider Bouygues Telecom has chosen Ericsson to launch VoLTE services to its live, commercial 4G/LTE network in France. The service will provide HD (high definition) voice conversations and enriched IP-based communication services such as video calling over LTE.

Bouygues Telecom Introduces LTE Router for Enterprise

French carrier Bouygues Telecom is now offering 4G LTE router dedicated to companies in France. Huawei B593 router can connect up to 32 devices (computers, tablets …) via WiFi or on a local computer network using an Ethernet cable.

Bouygues Telecom to Trial LTE in 800 MHz Band

French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom plans to start trial of LTE 800 MHz band in early 2014 in several towns in mountain areas in close collaboration with the Mission France Very High Speed.

Bouygues to Launch Commercial LTE Services on May 6

France’s Bouygues Telecom has announced the commercial launch of its 4G LTE network in six cities on 6 May. The cities are Lyon, Strasbourg, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Vanves, Malakoff, and Toulouse. Operator will further expand LTE network in June in Lille, Douai, Lens and the Basque Coast.

Bouygues Telecom selects Ericsson for 2G, 3G upgrade and LTE rollout

French service provider has selected Bouygues Telecom for upgrade of its 2G/3G radio networks and rollout of 4G LTE equipments. Operator plans to transform its existing 2G and 3G radio networks in order to improve network performance as data traffic increases and more people move into French cities.
