Ericsson and Hong Kong’ SmarTone today announced successful trial of Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) technology in a live over-the-air demonstration in Hong Kong. LAA allows the use of unlicensed spectrum in the 5GHz band in combination with licensed spectrum.
