Telecom Italia to Launch LTE Services on 7 November

Telecom Italia has announced that  Telecom Italia Mobile is launching new ultra-broadband services using LTE technology on 7 November. Operator has begun network rollout in Rome, Milan, Turin and Naples. By the end of the year new LTE services will be rolled out to more than 20 cities, and then to the rest of Italy.

Sprint to Add LTE in 20 More Cities

Sprint’s 4G LTE network build is progressing in more than 20 additional cities within its nationwide 3G footprint. Operator plans to announce commercial availability 4G LTE in these cities in the coming months, followed by continued enhancements in coverage, performance and reliability.

Vodacom Switches on LTE Network in South Africa

Vodacom has launched commercial LTE services in South Africa. The service is initially available in Johannesburg, with other cities to follow in the near future. The LTE service will initially be accessible via approximately 70 base stations in Johannesburg. 

UK Broadband Launches LTE in Swindon, Southwark and Reading

UK Broadband (UKB) has announced that its 4G LTE service ‘now Broadband’ is now available in areas of Swindon, Southwark and Reading. Company’s fixed wireless LTE service offers broadband via a home router with no long-term contracts and provides users a flexible alternative to a fixed broadband connection.

EE to Open LTE Network on 30 October

EE will start offering the LTE services on the 30th October 2012 in UK. EE’s 4G services will be available on a number of exciting handsets including the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE, Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820, HTC One XL and the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE.
