United Mobile Apps, a Bangalore, India based startup has raised series A funding of $1 million, led by Mumbai Angels. Company plans to use this funding to focus on 4G LTE Technology and also to scale up its employee count in the next few months.  Blume Ventures, India Venture Partners (Mauritius) and Christopher Preinz and Associates (EU) also took part in this round of funding.

Additionally, the company will open sales & marketing offices across the globe. United Mobile has recently opened an office in Japan and intends to foray into the USA and Europe (the UK and Austria to start with). It also plans to bring one or two semiconductor partners and 6 ODM partners on board, and bundle UConnect with some of the key device manufacturers and also with laptops, Ultrabooks and Tablets.

Last yeat United Mobile  had unveiled UConnect, a cross-platform software with intuitive interfaces to discover, customize, control and connect to 4G networks. UConnect is a 4G Connection Manager. It manages the UE/CPE such as a LTE dongle from an operator/carrier and makes sure that the user is connected to the right network. It also manages the IP interfaces on the host, by receiving the IP from any underlying signaling protocols and configuring the IP/IPV6 interfaces accordingly. UConnect has been designed keeping both the end user and ODM needs in mind (different compiled out flavors).
