We have heard so many rumors of iPhone launch on Verizon that we have stopped believing it. This time Techcrunch says that Verizon iPhone rumors are true and CDMA iPhone will be available next year January.
Siting a unknown source Techcrunch said that Apple has submitted orders for millions of units of Qualcomm CDMA chipsets for a Verizon iPhone.
Last week, Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced that Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg will deliver the opening keynote to highlight company’s vision for its LTE 4G wireless technology at the 2011 International CES.
So Verizon may announce LTE handsets as well as Apple iPhone (if true) next year.
Even if CDMA iPhone rumors are true, dual-mode CDMA/LTE iPhone is not likely to happen in January. It’s hard to believe that Apple iPhone would offer LTE support from beginning.
