GSA has announced that globally 331 operators have commercially launched LTE networks and service in 112 countries. 65 LTE networks have launched so far in 2014. In addition, 116 mobile operators have launched HD voice service representing over 30% YoY growth.

In addition, 116 mobile operators have launched HD voice service representing over 30% YoY growth. This total includes 11 operators that have launched HD voice service using VoLTE on commercially launched LTE networks
The total number of commercial LTE networks is expected to exceed 350 by end 2014. 1800MHz band is fueling the LTE growth, 150 LTE1800 networks are commercially launched in 71 countries so far. Currently there are 40 commercial LTE TDD networks in 27 countries.
21 operators have launched LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation in 14 countries. 79 operators in total, i.e. almost 1 in 4, have launched or are deploying or trialing LTE-Advanced technologies in their networks.
According to Ovum, there were 280.4 million LTE subscriptions globally by Q2 2014. 156.4 millions LTE subscriptions were gained worldwide over the past 12 months, representing 126% annual growth.
