4G Americas has announced that the number of LTE connections will pass 100 million this week globally. 57 Million of these LTE Connections are in the U.S. and Canada. There were 68 million LTE connections at the end of 2012.
4G Americas has announced that the number of LTE connections will pass 100 million this week globally. 57 Million of these LTE Connections are in the U.S. and Canada. There were 68 million LTE connections at the end of 2012.
Currently there are 172 operators in 70 countries with LTE networks. Out of these, 22 commercial LTE networks deployed in Canada and U.S., while 20 commercial LTE networks are deployed in 9 Latin American countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Uruguay.
4G Americas expects more than 250 commercial LTE networks by the end of this year. LTE connections are forecasted to be doubled in 2013 to 134 million LTE connections. LTE connections are expected to reach 1 billion by early 2018.
