MTS Picks Nokia Siemens Networks for FDD LTE Deployment
Russia’s mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has selected Nokia Siemens Networks for deploying FDD LTE network in the Moscow and Central Russia regions during the third quarter of 2013. The operator utilizes its 2600 MHz and 800 MHz frequency bands for increased capacity.
EE Doubles 4G Speed, Launches Shared Plan
UK operator EE will switch on double-speed 4G in twelve UK cities on the 4th July. According to operator, it will allow a theoretical maximum top speed of 150Mbps, and double the current average speeds to 24-30Mbps. Operator will also launch new Shared 4GEE Plans on 17th July
MTS Picks Ericsson for LTE Network Development
Russia’s mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has selected Ericsson to deploy the LTE network in four regions covering more than half of Russia. Under the three-year agreement and starting in Q2, 2013, Ericsson will roll out LTE in the Siberian, Ural, Volga, and Southern Federal Districts of Russia.

Regional Telecom, Alcatel-Lucent Launch LTE Network in Iraq
Regional Telecom, a communications service provider in Northern Iraq, and Alcatel-Lucent have launched 4G LTE network Iraq under the Fastlink brand. Alcatel-Lucent is providing its end-to-end 4G LTE solution, including base stations, IP mobile backhaul for 4G LTE and existing 3G CDMA traffic and Evolved Packet Core (EPC).
