GSA Confirms 1,064 LTE User Devices

GSA (Global mobile Suppliers Association) confirms that 111 manufacturers have announced 1,064 LTE-enabled user devices world-wide, including frequency and carrier variants. Since July 2012, 647 new LTE user devices have been announced. During same period, number of manufacturers is increased by 66%.

Neotel Launches LTE for Business Customers

South Africa’s communications network operator, Neotel has announced the launch of LTE network. Operator’s NeoBroadband powered by LTE, is a fixed wireless solution for Small and Medium businesses (SMB) as well as large Enterprises.

MTS Launches LTE Network in the Tambov Region

Russian mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has announced the commercial launch of its LTE FDD  network in Tambov and the Tambov region. Operator is currently rolling-out LTE networks throughout Russia and plans to over around 600 population centers of the Russian Federation by the end of 2014 .

O2 Unveils 4G Tariffs and Data Bundles

UK’s O2 has announced a range of 4G tariffs with data bundles for its upcoming 4G network. From 29th August, O2 will offer 4G tariffs starting at £26 a month, which all include unlimited minutes and texts, bigger data bundles from 1GB – 8GB, free access to 9,000 O2 Wifi hotspots.

Elisa Switches on LTE Network in 800 MHz Band

Estonia’s mobile operator Elisa has launched its LTE services on 800 MHz band spectrum. The operator launched nationwide LTE services immediately after receiving the license to use the spectrum from the regulator Technical Surveillance Authority. 

O2 to Launch LTE Network on 29th August

UK operator O2 has outlined plans for launch of its 4G LTE network. O2 will switch on LTE network in London, Leeds and Bradford on 29th August, reaching up to five million people from launch.
