AT&T has announced 5G Evolution plans to pave the way to the next generation of faster speeds for its wireless customers with the latest devices in over 20 major metro areas by the end of this year. In select areas of Austin starting today, AT&T wireless customers with a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ can access faster 5G Evolution internet speeds. In Austin, that means it offers twice the speeds of its 4G LTE network.
Operator is preparing to launch 5G Evolution Plan in Indianapolis this summer.Some of the major metros in plans include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, San Francisco and others.
AT&T customers can expect to see their data speeds increase as company continue to invest in its wireless network by adding small cells and through upgrades like carrier aggregation, 4×4 MIMO, 256 QAM and more.
