French operator Bouygues Telecom, Qualcomm, and Ericsson have conducted  LTE-Advanced test with the aggregation of three carriers in January. Operator used three frequency bands 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz for the demonstration.

The demonstration has implemented a wide spectrum up to 45 MHz via three carriers aggregated over the frequency bands that Bouygues Telecom uses for 4G. It was conducted on the 4G+ commercial network of Bouygues Telecom with a terminal equipped with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon processor 810 ™ including a new generation of modem, and multi-standard radio stations Ericsson RBS 6000.

During this experiment, Bouygues Telecom, Ericsson QTI and got a rate significantly exceeding the 300 Mbps mark, which is in line with the maximum throughput of this technology on the tested radio configurations.

Bouygues Telecom plans to commercially open ultra mobile broadband in Lyon in September.
