Japanese operator NTT DOCOMO has unveiled its 2013 summer lineup of 11 models, including nine smartphones, one tablet and one Raku-Raku SMART PHONE, for launch in Japan on or after May 17. All new models are compatible with DOCOMO’s LTE service for a max.
Japanese operator NTT DOCOMO has unveiled its 2013 summer lineup of 11 models, including nine smartphones, one tablet and one Raku-Raku SMART PHONE, for launch in Japan on or after May 17. All new models are compatible with DOCOMO’s LTE service for a max. downlink of 100Mbps in the 2GHz, 1.5GHz and 800MHz bands.
In addition operator along with LINE Corporation, a free voice call and messaging application provider, announced a business collaboration aimed at enhancing the convenience of voice and messaging applications for DOCOMO smartphones. with this agreement, an original LINE application running on the Android OS will provide a new Call button that directly accesses DOCOMO’s mobile voice network. Xi LTE subscribers can use this button to call other DOCOMO users free anytime. The new service will be launched by September 2013.
All new models come with large-capacity batteries rated at 2,000mAh or more and are equipped with enhanced quad-core CPUs. Nine smartphones and one tablet are compatible with NOTTV®, the V-high multimedia broadcasting service in Japan.
