Operator has also established a TD-LTE network on high-speed trains, according to an article from telecompaper. The LTE network covers the 60-kilometre long Jiaxing section of the Shanghai to Hangzhou railway.
China Mobile is expanding its TD-LTE network trial in 13 cities by the end of this year. This trial will increase the commercialization and globalization of TD-LTE and with a total of 20,000 base stations deployed by multiple vendors, China Mobile plans to create a pre-commercial mobile broadband network.
