Verizon Wireless is aiming to complete its 4G LTE network rollout by mid-2013, announced Fran Shammo, Verizon’s EVP & CFO, at Wells Fargo Technology Media & Telecom Conference last week. Verizon Wireless had earlier said that by 2013 the LTE coverage map will match it’s current 3G coverage map.
“Our lead on 4G LTE and the footprint that we cover and the reliability that our reputation has been built on, I think word-of-mouth is spreading that we have the superior network from a reliability standpoint. Further he added that today Verizon’s LTE network is extremely stable, it is performing very well. 35% of Verizon’s data traffic is now carried over that 4G LTE network
