IPWireless has announced that Public Service Wireless (PSW) is deploying a high speed wireless Internet network utilizing IPWireless LTE platform. PSW has been trialing IPWireless LTE-based infrastructure solutions since March of 2010.
Based on the successful results of these initial deployments, PSW has decided to expand the wireless network to cover around and between the municipalities of Reynolds and Butler serving more than 5000 subscribers.
The wireless broadband network includes IPWireless LTE-based network infrastructure and LTE USB device solutions. The network is being deployed in 700 MHz frequency band.
“We selected IPWireless’ end-to-end LTE platform for our deployment based on their proven performance, support for a range of end user devices and ability to support multiple LTE designated spectrum bands, including the entire 700 MHz spectrum band, 2.5 GHz and AWS,” said Kelly Bond, President at PSW.
