TeliaSonera has launched commercial LTE network in Lund, Sweden which became the fifth city with 4G coverage. LTE is already available in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Visby.
TeliaSonera has launched commercial LTE network in Lund, Sweden which became the fifth city with 4G coverage. LTE is already available in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Visby. By the end of 2010, Telia has planned 28 locations in Sweden. In 2011, Telia’s 4G network will be available at 228 locations around the country.
Same time Telia also has launched new mobile broadband subscription plans, including new pricing for 4G as well as more bundling of fixed broadband customers. Telia’s Mobile Broadband 4G 599 SEK plan offers speeds between 10 and 80 Mbps in the 4G network and up to 16 Mbps in the 3G network with 30 GB of data per month, while 269 kr plan offers access to 4G speeds between 10 and 20 Mbps with 20GB data.
Telia is also promising to allow customers to switch to other mobile broadband subscriptions with higher or lower speeds throughout the commitment period without charge if the customer is not satisfied with the service.
Telia will add Västerås as well in September. In October, Linkoping, Uppsala and Örebro are planned. Thereafter, Helsingborg, Jönköping, Norrköping, Växjö, Borås, Karlstad, and in November.
