Verizon Wireless plans to add two Motorola Android smartphones in July, reports Wall Street Journal. Motorola has already announced plans to launch a new tablet handset based on Google™s Android platform.
Motorola co-CEO Sanjay Jha said during a conference in New York that the company will soon come out with a 7 to 10 inch device that will offer mobile connectivity and other feature similar to TV.
“We will introduce new Droid products in the Verizon franchise,” said Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha. But didn’t provide more details. Mr. Jha said he’s confident about the division’s goal to be profitable by year end and feels good about relationships with Verizon Wireless.
Motorola had demonstrated a tablet device running on a Verizon Wireless LTE test network at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas in January.
