Clearwire however said that 4G handset from Samsung would be an Android-based 3G/4G/WiFi device, optimized for heavy video and video communications use.
HTC handset would be 3G/4G/WiFi enabled as well.
Earlier in March, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse had announced the HTC Evo 4G, a powerful Android smart phone, the first 4G device of its kind. The device will sport a 480 x 800 4.3-inch screen, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8 megapixel camera and an HD camcorder and an extra 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera.
