Vee Telecom aims to attract 100,000 WiMAX subscribers in one year

April 16, 2010 – Taiwan-based WiMAX operator Vee Telecom Multimedia aims to solicit 100,000 subscribers within one year after commencing its commercial WiMAX services on April 15.

April 16, 2010 – Taiwan-based WiMAX operator Vee Telecom Multimedia aims to solicit 100,000 subscribers within one year after commencing its commercial WiMAX services on April 15. The company expects its capex for 2010 to reach NT$1 billion (US$31.85 million).

Vee Telecom is also an operator of cable TV and cable modem broadband Internet-access service and has set up a 4,000km fiber-optic network as backhaul for WiMAX base stations, the company indicated.
